As a time management and productivity coach, I help clients invest their time wisely to create the results they want, both personally and professionally. Each year I have the honor of helping hundreds of people to identify their priorities, redesign their schedules, and honor their commitments. I help them to:
– Establish daily actions that set the stage for productivity
– Set boundaries to protect their time and sanity
– Plan and prioritize effectively
– Handle interruptions (social media, email overload, chatty coworkers, etc.)
– Avoid procrastination and buffering
– Make decisions proactively
– Delegate effectively
Over the past 20 years, I have coached and trained corporate employees, small business owners, freelancers, and creatives. I earned a B.A. in Education from Georgetown College and have experience working in the corporate world focusing on leadership and employee development. What has helped me the most as a coach and in my own life are the tools I learned through my extensive training at Coach U and the Center for Coaching Certification. These inform my work with clients daily.
In short, because I know the terrain. I started as a stressed-out, overwhelmed approval-seeker, feeling many of the same things you may be feeling. Coaching was the answer, and I ultimately became a time management and productivity coach myself. This is my story.
By 2009, I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and filled with guilt on a regular basis. I had a common cold every other month and felt tired much of the time. It was difficult for me to relax because I was obsessed with my never-ending to-do list. I was determined to be a “good person,” to “do it all,” and to “do everything right.” Can you relate?
I remember pulling off the highway one day because I was feeling dizzy. In a two-month period, I racked up thousands of dollars in medical bills. After an MRI, EEG, EMG, and CT scans, it turned out… it was anxiety. I had NO idea that anxiety can show up as twitching, stomach pain, headaches, numb hands, and dizziness. But I was experiencing it all.
I knew I needed to make big changes. I was finally ready for a schedule makeover – and a new way of living. I hired a professional coach and started changing my life little by little.
After my first conversation with a coach, I was hooked. My coach helped me identify ineffective habits and make improvements, step-by-step. I stopped procrastinating, overeating, working constantly, nail-biting, and people-pleasing. I started spending more quality time with my family.
For almost two years, I took small steps every day to get organized, remove limiting beliefs, and honor the goals I set for myself. I remember my husband saying, “What’s happening here? This is good stuff. Keep working with your coach!” He and my friends saw me making many positive changes in my life, such as:
I was seeing incredible change, and I couldn’t wait to share what I’d learned with others. I enrolled in coaching school and completed an extensive coach training program. I gave pro bono coaching to anyone who would let me. And in 2011, I formed my own coaching practice.
After discovering that disorganization, stress, guilt, and chaos were optional, I couldn’t wait to lead workshops and coaching programs to help others, all while giving my clients the same TLC I had received from my own coach.
If you’re ready to make positive changes to accomplish more in your life and career, let me help you. With a strategic approach and the right tools, it’s possible! I’d love to hear from you – just email me at hello@loritingle.com.
